Biography:

Eter Turadze graduated from the faculty of Philology of the Batumi State University in 1996. She started working as a journalist for different media outlets since the studenthood years. She is editor in chief of newspaper “Batumelebi” since its establishment in 2001. Eter Turadze has attended short-term qualification trainings in the USA and Germany. “Batumelebi” has been awarded by different media prizes, including Norwegian Institusjonen Fritt Ord’s and German Zeit-Stiftung’s prizes. In 2015, Zeit-Stiftung prize was given to on-line version of “Batumelebi” newspaper – netgazeti.ge. As a journalist, Eter Turadze mainly focuses on human rights. She is the author of several journalistic investigations in this sphere.
