Education: BA in Law and MA in International Law from Ivane Javakhisvhili Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia).

Position: Projects coordinator/Researcher at Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC).

Research Interests: Radical Critics of the Law, Gender and the Law, Queer/Feminist Legal Theories, International Law and LGBT rights, Politics of Sexuality and Queer Resistance, Radical Reproductive Justice, Critics of Carceral State and Punishment.

Biography: 

Lika is a projects coordinator focused on LGBTQI rights under EMC. She monitors, documents and assesses the human rights situation of LGBTQI people in Georgia. She tries to help the elimination of the discrimination and oppression based on sexual orientation and gender identity and to advocate for institutional reforms. Behalf of EMC she tries to empower queer activism by encouraging theoretical thinking of the existed politics. Lika also works independently on sexual and reproductive health and rights, violence against women and hate crimes in Georgia.

Lika is mostly interested in the theories of contemporary queer politics and rethinking of the notion of the human rights, including, radical feminist critics of carceral state and the law.
