Tamar Tandashvili has been working as a counselling psychologist at the LGBT and women’s rights NGOs. She teaches psychology and psychological anthropology at the Ivane Javakhishvili State University and Ilia State University (Tbilisi). Tamar covers the following topics in her research and counseling practice: Cultural institutes and formative processes of autonomous self in Georgian society; Mosaic disintegration of Selfhood as a subtle form of gender-based discrimination in contemporary Georgia. Discursive (in)accessibility of ethical practices and historical discontinuity in ethical systems’ formation in post-soviet Georgia.
