Salome Kobalava is a political ecology researcher and sociologist whose research interests span environmental justice, climate change, hydropolitics, extractivism, renewable energy, agriculture and food systems. She holds a Master's degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Central European University in Vienna, Austria. In 2015-2017, she studied at Lund University, Sweden, where she earned her first Master's degree in Media and Communication Studies. Previously, Salome has worked on environmental, open governance, civic participation and social justice advocacy projects.
