Interview with Women Politicians

Currently, we are working on another version of the bill. The new project will introduce gender-based quotas for both lists: majoritarian as well as proportional one. 

"Even if we introduce gender-base quotas, political parties will not promote women immediately. A month or even two weeks prior to elections, a certain number of people, selected by the party leader, will appear on the list and women will be just among them."

It is almost impossible for a woman politician to raise needed finances. The rules here are different, and very uncomfortable for women.

"I do not thinks that the problems are coming from legal framework. Problems are coming from awareness and we have to work on it a lot."
