Tinatin Lobzhanidze
Blonde girls's portrait.
Tinatin Lobzhanidze holds a Master’s degree in Modern Georgian History and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. Her research interests lie at the intersection of these two faculties – Tinatin works on ethnographic and archival research on ecological cataclysms that have occurred in Georgia’s recent history. She is particularly interested in how the collective memory of natural disasters shapes people’s perceptions and attitudes about the future. As someone who comes from the mountainous village of Racha region of Georgia, climate change politics, ecological anthropology, and understanding natural disasters through a political-cultural narrative are of particular interest to her.
