Mariam Kandelaki is a gender researcher. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Gender Studies at Tbilisi State University (TSU). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Ilia State University.
Mariam’s main research interests include Gender, Labor, Gender and Green politics, Global and Social Inequalities; Feminist and Postcolonial Theories.
In 2022 she was a co-researcher in the scientific research project “An Exploration of the Gender-Migration-Development Nexus: The Impact of Labor Migration on Women’s Empowerment” at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, TSU.
Currently, in cooperation with the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation, she is implementing a research project “Women in Masculine Professions”.
