Nino Danelia holds BA degree in Arts (Tbilisi State University, Georgia) and Master's degree of Mass Communication (Louisiana State University, USA). She is a professor at Ilia State University and invited professor at Caucasus School of Journalism and Media Management at GIPA. At the same time, she is a doctoral candidate in mass communication at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of South Carolina. She is currently working on her dissertation on underground media in the Soviet Union. Her primary research interests are in the role of communication and media use in political and civic engagement; aspects of pro-social behavior.
