Tatia Barbakadze graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film State University of Georgia, Faculty of Art Sciences, Media and Management, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She is currently studying at Master’s Program on Contemporary and Modern Georgian Art History at the Apolon Kutateladze Tbilisi State Academy of Arts.
Since 2017, she has been actively involved in various art projects and researches while she has been also engaged in pedagogical work. Her research interests include history and theory of contemporary and modern art, cultural policy of independent Georgia in 1918-1921, as well as fine arts of the Soviet and post-Soviet period.
