Women and the World War II

Women’s involvement in war was a force majeure event; women fight bravely like men and together with men.

How, for what and why was the ideology attributing the image of a woman a propagandistic content on posters?

Based on private wartime letters, this paper reviews the roles and experiences of women on the home front in Georgia during the Second World War. In doing so, it refers to the gender policy pursued by the Soviet Union at that time.
